Sgaana Jaad ~ April White, Killer Whale Woman is the first book featuring April White's art. She has been painting for more than 25 years.
April White is an award-winning, internationally acclaimed artist whose work is prominently displayed in galleries throughout North America. She was born on Haida Gwaii, comes from the prominent Edenshaw family, and is woven into the fabric of the Haida hierarchy. Through her paint brush, she brings alive the magic of the spirits of the forests, oceans and open skies. In this book, due for release in mid-May 2008, more than forty of her stunning paintings are reproduced in full colour.
